Dreamie A1 Pro - docking problem

Good morning,

I have a question regarding the docking sequence of the Dreame A1 Pro. From the very beginning (starting with the first docking attempt of a brand new, just-unpacked unit), I’ve had difficulties with the robot recognizing the docking station and starting the battery charging process.

After several attempts, the robot finally recognized the docking station and made proper contact with the charging pins. However, after about a month, the issue reappeared. Despite clean electrical contacts, a stable and secure station placement, and no changes to the mapped area, the robot now fails to dock properly. It approaches the dock precisely and moves as expected, but does not recognize the electrical connection—even when powered off and manually placed on the station.

What could be the cause of this issue? I’ve reviewed the manual and confirmed that the typical troubleshooting suggestions do not apply in my case.

What is the success criterion for the robot to recognize the docking station? Does it rely solely on electrical contact between the robot and the base? Or do additional sensors also need to detect alignment or position to initiate charging?
